I remember the first time I met Tom. It was the beginning of the school year and I was in Mr. Vedders 2nd grade class, apparently Tom came to school and was put into Mr. Holmes 3rd grade class. One day, they brought Tom into the class and told him he was supposed to be in 2nd grade. We were good friends when we were young and remained friends ever since. Maybe we werent as close in our latter years, but I think I can say that I was Toms first friend when he came to Rocky Point. He was a great guy; nice guy and he will be missed by many.
