I remember this so well: I used to eat this with our house boy, (Xico) and with a grilled leguan that he often caught just behind the walls of our house, in Munhava: sometimes with caril (tiny little shrimp dried up in the sun), but the giant lizard was a treat. When my mother found out, she freaked out, but I am sure, deep down, she wished she could try some. I dont believe I could eat it now, but in those days I ate anything, anytime. Insatiable apetite, this as a stick. Right!!! as if that happens now: I look at food and I put on weight!
