I remember two years ago when I was in my military uniform and I was at the gas station getting a Gatorade and beef jerky, on my way to drill, a lady with her son stood behind me. She tapped my shoulder and told me, Im going to pay for your things. i told her no no it was not necessary. Lol she did not take no for an answer. We shook hands and she thanked me for my service. And I thanked her for buying my snacks, of course! Even though I did not serve for a long time or serve over seas, Im proud for the time I did serve and the friends I did make. It was an experience that I needed and Im glad to be a veteran along with the millions of other veterans who served. Thank you fellow veterans and active military members for all you did and continue to do. Happy veterans day!
