I remember when I decided to move to Hawai‘i. I had this dream of going down that volcano. When I got here I bombed down the parking garages of Waikiki and quickly had to introduce my self to the officers I cut off flying into the street. Hahahaa good times. On the fourth day I climbed Diamond head and bombed down the restricted roads and out the gate with a few very mad security dudes trying to catch up. I practiced on tantalus, never been on a road like that before. Then I made the comment of big island and Laulani Teale quickly jumped on my fb page to correct my terminology and give me a history lesson of Mauna Kea and Pele. Never again have I used those words, lol. Shes always good at getting her point out there. Then the occupy movement became under attack hard. I had to put the board away to save it from the city. Never again been on it. My last ride was when I was able to complete half of tantalus as a Nieghborhood board member of Tantalus/ Makiki. What was funny the next meeting there was a complaint of skate border on the road hahahahaa Samuel Mitchell looked right at me :) One day I would love to at least go on top of Mauna Kea and experience the height and solitude.
