I remember when I was in High School, there were some kids that were laughing at a video of a homeless man that stood on a corner dowm the street. It was obvious that the man had problems; he spoke to himself, he constantly scratched himself like a dog with fleas, and his clothes were filthy. I felt pretty bad for the guy so I brought him some clothes, and hygene supplies. The man rejected the free gifts I offered him, and I headed back to the car. I will never forget how proud my mom was as she awaited in the car. I have always admired street preaching. Giving hope to the hopless is the mission of EVERY Christian. We have a message unlike any other. Our job is to spread that message of love, hope, and peace, to those who are more spiritually hungry than that man was physically hungry. Not everyone will accept the message of the Gospel, just like that man did not accept the free clothes I offered him. However, when it is your time to come home, you will see the smile of your Heavenly father, and that will make every attempt to care for others completely worth while.
