I sat down for a refreshing chi latte this evening at Starbucks. Couldnt help but overhear the table next to me. It was a Real Estate Agent giving a listing presentation. I give the guy kudos, he was dress to the 9s, and well spoken. However, I also couldnt help hearing what he was talking about. He was trying to explain distressed sales and how the FDIC will place a lien on your home if you miss mortgage payments bills and that if you can avoid mortgage investors then you can avoid liens. I think he was quite confused, however, the customer / client didnt know the different as his presentation was confident. Its very hard to if not impossible to qualify someone / judge their credibility if you have no experience in the industry. Be VERY VERY careful who you work with. You want to make sure they are not only confident but extremely well informed and that they know what they are talking about. Real Estate is SERIOUS business and you deserve the best.
