I saw American Sniper this afternoon it was the best movie by far I have seen in a long time. This is one of the few times that the movie was as good as the book. If this movie does not sweep the academy awards it will be a shame. In the closing minutes of the movie I was struck by this thought. That when Bush left office Iraq had made great strides in becoming a safe democratic nation. So many of our soldiers had given their lives to make this happen. Since Obama has taken office Iraq and the region is in worse shape than it was when Sadam Hussein was dictator and it seems that our brave soldiers have died in vain because of the lack of leadership and foreign policy with the current president of the United States.
