I saw an awful thing at the pool the other day... I was sitting on the side waiting for a lane to open up. Sometimes Ill ask to share other times Im content to wait. Anyway in the lane near me was a guy Ive never seen before who you could tell was an avid swimmer possibly competitive at one time and of course he was wearing the Speedo briefs. Im sorry but unless youre a part of something where you all are wearing them or on a team or whatever... The jammers are fine. Anyway, there was an oriental girl, Ive seen her before shes a big person and I guess you could say not too athletically inclined but I know always respectful of others when sharing a lane. So she begins to exercise on her side of the lane, she doesnt really swim just walks and hops and skips on one leg and various things up and down the lane. It looks effective... Kind of a water aerobic thing maybe with an oriental twist to it. They do the darnedest things with great results. Anyway the guy, who had to know she was sharing the lane gets too far towards her side and runs into her and he just starts swearing at her! Using all of the most potent cuss words and then he just kept swimming. She then, in her swim cap, goggles and thing on her nose that keeps water out, turned to look at me and I thought she was gonna start crying and then I almost started and I told her its ok dont worry, I didnt know what to say, it was just an awful scene I think Ill always remember the look on her face. That guy just needs to be taken out to the curb and recycled. Fortunately after a little bit she went on with her workout, tough gal. In the mean time a lane had opened up next to them and I started my swim and as I was swimming I noticed them talking and when I stopped to rest I asked her if he apologized and he did. But during her rant about it she was smiling and she said Everybody thinks they are Ryan Rochte! Rochte not Lochte... (hey if I tried to speak another language itd sound funny to them too). So at least some comic relief afterwards. I wonder if he wouldve behaved that way if she was another, more attractive girl or a guy as big and able as him? Hopefully that douchebag wont be back...
