I saw my regular doctor today and she was really helpful. She said she does keep up with all the reports and is the one who issues authorizations as each of the other docs tell her what they need and then each of them contacts her when they need to bring in someone else. I had to have a CBC today for the oncologist who had asked her for one. I see him next. And - she’s also going to authorize an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor for my voice and swallowing problems. Hallelujah! I think the speech therapist has gone about as far as she can go helping me with this. So, after the oncologist gets the results of the CBC, I expect I’ll hear from him shortly. And, she said I can stop the darn iron pills (one less!) since my blood has recovered from the loss from the surgery. She keeps trying to impress on me just how very complicated and somewhat dangerous the surgery was. I guess I really did have an A Number One surgeon. (But I still want my voice back. - Ungrateful wretch that I am.) Really dragging my ass today, all day. And there seems to be no obvious reason. Sugar level isn’t out of the park and my oxygen is okay. Speaking of oxygen, this damn tether is going to kill me yet. I get sloppy and don’t pay attention to what’s happening at floor level and the next thing I know the tube is around my ankle, or trapped in my thong under my foot, or even wrapped around a leg. This is not smart on my part. Maybe it’s just me today. What ever it is, my brain’s not working too well either. Maybe I’ll have energy and my brain will be working tomorrow. That being the case, I think I’ll close up for now and head for the barge. You know. The large barge with HP in charge? That one. I know you’re all on board in spirit. Down to the quay I go. The Nubian guard and his staff are on board and ready to sail. The weather is perfect. So, I lay down on my chaise, start to drink my Thai ice tea, bite into a fig that Jonathan brought over this evening, and we slip into the river and float down de Nile. There is only Here And Now. No fear about tomorrow. Thank you for helping me through this You are Amazing!
