I saw this and was wondering what people might think about it??? Once in a Lifetime Thinking of a popular song that once said, Once in a lifetime you find her, Someone who turns your heart around, Next thing you know you’re closing…down the town. At a time when learning was abundant, While thinking we already knew everything, Today we look back and see we didn’t know much, And how we threw away the people and times …we most wanted to touch. Now we get up each day, Most of us go to work as we rush to our destinations. Yet at times if we think about what this all means, It is because you are no longer there…that it is exactly the same theme. Once in my lifetime I found her, Someone who did turn my heart around, Though this time it was not like all of the rest, Although during those younger years, I always thought that this one was the best. They say love is patient… and love is kind, Yet I’m told that in reality …love is mostly a lot of work. So I question if you’ve ever had a love where you feel so at ease, That all you have to do is the simple things… just to please. During this rare time that comes but once in a lifetime, We get through each day just wanting to be close. This does mean close in any physical way, You are simply just hoping that she is having a nice day. You don’t need to talk; you don’t need to laugh, You don’t have to be with her; and in sum…you don’t need much of anything. There is only one thing that you need to find, To realize that she is the only woman …that will forever exist in your mind. To be in her presence is far beyond words, An indescribable feeling …that is the best I can do. If they say that this is work, then let me never leave, Because everything between us… seems meant to please. One in a lifetime you find her, It continues to be the simple things that mean the most. It’s like you can stand across the room and just watch her smile, Let this time never end, I just want to watch you a while. All five of your senses are raging all of time, Sight, sound, touch, taste, and scent… just to remind. All of the rest have started this way, But this time my passionate love ….grows stronger each day. When you’re younger it could be anyone for most any reason, Through the learning in life so many chance meetings today can’t even come close. When you’re younger you ask yourself what will please me today, But now you to ask her… what can I do for you now, to please you in any way. Remembering the days off, looking for what to enjoy, We’d wake up in each other’s arms, never wanting it to end. So there we stay for the remainder of the day still holding so tight, Wrapped completely together as one, feeling peace, romance and desire… until the next night. This sounds like a fantasy; this sounds like a dream, It’s real my friends, but unfortunately …it is but once in a lifetime. So once in a lifetime you find her, and you can still remember the day, But God if it’s your will…please allow this once more…this much I pray.
