I saw this last week and didnt repost it. However seeing it again and having seen so many posts about not judging people on welfare in the past few months, I have to say that this is the stereotype that is making all people on welfare look bad. This type of individual is what we all, unfortunately, see when were at the store around the 1st of the month and see a family in shabby clothes with 3 shopping carts loaded with a combination of the most expensive meats and seafood items and the rest junk food. I dont want to convey that I think all people on welfare are this person, however this is the person that makes them all look bad and infuriates those of us in the middle class that bust our humps to carve out a measly existence and then watch people like this live exorbitant lifestyles and then complain that theyre fat because they make poor choices at the store and the system doesnt provide them with a gym membership. Im sorry, I know plenty of people on welfare and other assistance programs that eat plenty healthy on their budget because they are conscientious of it and get plenty of exercise for free by either walking, jogging, or calisthenics. This individual specifically absolutely infuriates me both for being the stereotype and for making all the people who legitimately need the help and use it appropriately look bad, resulting in being unduly harassed when they are at the store just trying to make their family a little better.
