I see all this outrage right now over President Obamas latte salute, not too much different than President Bushs doggie salute... and a few might actually know that it was President Reagan who was the first to salute back... and some may realize that it is not required for the President/Commander-in-Chief to salute back... many will just cry RESPECT issue! BUT out of the 300 times I will see/hear this today, all over FB, the internet, & the NEWS; how many times will I see people even half as outraged over issues I consider to be Real Issues??? The easiest issue to start with is... *all the poisons in our food, poisons that some 3rd World Countries dont even allow in their food! GMOs, Pesticides, Antibiotics in our meat (87% of supermarket meat has antibiotic resistant bacteria!!! So cook/handle it right!), Hormones, & soo much more! *ISIS murdering innocent people across the Globe, all while claiming they do it for their God... Although the last time I checked, The Quran doesnt advocate murdering innocent people!! *Ebola Outbreak & the real impact it is having in Africa & the impact it will make in America WHEN it manages to make it this far. around half of the over 5,000 already infected have died!! No Cure, only treating symptoms! *Everyday in America over 10,000 treatments/cures for around 80 different diseases (to include many cancers) are thrown away b/c we dont offer (as a Nation) the ability for people to donate their childs umbilical cord stem cells! Unless youre 1) wealthy enough to pay $1,500-$2,500 (plus yearly fees of usually $150) just to bank your childs cord blood, & 2) acknowledge the importance & true benefit of doing so, How many of the 10,500 possible daily treatments do you think get personally banked or happen to make it to one of the few places you can donate to (like the Hawaii Cord Blood Bank where Hopes stem cells got donated to) *Climate Change *Minimum wage?? Should it be raised?? Is it fair to attack those who want a living wage? Shouldnt we attack BIG Business & their Bed Buddy (AKA our Government) for ensuring that our wages have not raised with inflation since the 70s!! We have one of the lowest minimum wages out of all the major Countries while we rank #1 for creating Millionaires/Billionaires!!! ...and this is just to name a few! Get out there and be an advocate for your own life, for the future of your children/family, for America! Getting outraged about a stupid picture (Dem/Rep it doesnt matter because Presidents in both parties have been photographed doing it) doesnt do a damn thing but distract others from real issues! In the words of my MIL this morning, use this to motivate you to get out and vote!
