I sincerely feel every wife should have all the passwords of her - TopicsExpress

I sincerely feel every wife should have all the passwords of her husbands online accounts and vice versa. Yesterday I got the 13th email of how a sister has gotten in touch with her ex-boyfriend who is married now and how the love is still there and now he wants to make her, his second wife. I ofcourse advised her to stay away. A man who did not make things halal with you in the past because of his parents or xyz reasons cannot be trusted for future dealings. Where is the hayah of men in talking to non mahram women, especially exs? This in noway means that the wife ends up becoming a female version of 007 or acts insecure or becomes a spy. It means there needs to be a level of transparency between husband and wife. This way both will keep a check on their interaction with the opposite gender. Because wallahi we all know sisters are not free from the disease of attention seeking either. I personally know so many married sisters who still seek the attention of opposite gender. Fitna does not end after marriage! If brothers want to uphold the sunnah of taking a second wife they should marry someone like Umm Salama. A widow with kids who confessed of her shortcomings to prophet Muhammad yet he went ahead and married her. Why is there a near monopoly of marrying Fair reverts or virgins as second wives? What about sisters with kids? Sisters who are divorced? -- It was narrated from Umm Salamah, that when her Iddah had ended, Abu Bakr sent word to her proposing marriage to her, but she did not marry him. Then the Messenger of Allah sent Umar bin Al-Khattab with a proposal of marriage. She said: Tell the Messenger of Allah that I am a jealous woman and that I have sons, and none of my guardians are present. He went to the Messenger of Allah and told him that. He said: Go back to her and tell her: As for your saying that you are a jealous woman, I will pray to Allah for you to take away your jealousy. As for your saying that you have sons, your sons will be taken care of. And as for your saying that none of your guardians are present, none of your guardians, present or absent, would object to that. She said to her son: O Umar, get up and perform the marriage to the Messenger of Allah, so he performed the marriage. Sunan An Nisai - Sahih Evidence - sunnah/nasai/26/59 Some other narrations mention she listed 3 problems as 1) I am too old for marriage. 2) I am Jealous. 3) I have Children.
