I sit here at my desk as I try to drum up the enthusiasm to do my job. But the death of Robin William seems to have cast a shadow over me and many people around the world. I ask myself Why? I didnt know him, he wasnt a close friend. But it still feels like a profound loss. Maybe, perhaps because as a child I watched the first episode of Happy Days where he came onto the scene like a neutron bomb. It was all we could talk about the next day at school. Or perhaps because the Jinnii from Aladdin that my children grew up watching, is now forever silenced. He was someone who brought us joy. And for that he deserved to leave this planet, this life, in a more humane way. Thank you seems so failing of a word for this man. But I will say it anyway. Thank you Robin, thank you for the joy and laughter and humanity you brought to this world and to us. I sincerely hope you are in peace my brother. My prayers go out to those closest to Mr. Williams as they are the ones who lost a father, a husband, and friend and I cannot begin to comprehend the the loss they now must suffer through.
