I soon discovered for myself that both the contemplation of vast spaces as small organisms and structures of nature engender our imagination. In valuable moments like that, worldly issues, material desires and even death itself become insignificant. The fascinating studded black cloak of living stars that can be seen in places away from city lights, the tiny creatures that inhabit drops of water trapped in a dry leaf, or the enigmatic gaze of an owl in the dark constitute healthy food for the hungry thinking.
