I spent the day with a friend as she laid her husband to rest..and she did it with the elegance of salvation.Because when you know a person is saved..there is a special kind of peace and joy of knowing,without a doubt, your loved ones final destination!. Life is so short and when you are blessed to make it to a certain age in your life..your relationship with Christ should never just be an option that you still need to think about.A friend of ours stopped me on the way out of the church to tell me she enjoyed my poetic reading and Rev. Carolyn White-Splawn beautiful singing..I smiled and said thank-you. Then she floored me when she said I would get saved, but church folks get on my nerves. I cant do them. I laughed and said Sometimes,they get on mine too, but my salvation is not dependent on them .Didnt you just hear the pastor ask you if you would accept HIM..He didnt say the church folks, he said Christ. I told her to read Romans 10:9-10 when she gets home and if she didnt understand it ,call me and we can talk.Then I had to make it real .I said, I would hate for you to wake up tomorrow ..Crying in hell and try to blame it on the church folks because I dont think anybody down there will really give a damn, because your soul will already be damned. Period !...Sometimes you gotta meet folks where they are at..I want to see all my friends in heaven..because I have no plans to do any visiting in hell..BLessings
