I started baking this morning at 7:30. I made Blakes spinach pies for the first time. We were so used to having them every Christmas morning and I decided to carry the tradition on. I made a full batch, just like he would, so now there are 12 spinach pies in the refrigerator. I used his rolling pin and followed him moms recipe with his notes. This Christmas morning will have a little bit of Blake and his influence. I was feeling productive, when I was done I made 24 cupcakes for desert. It is going to be a busy day! Now I am having a great day of connect with coaches and tonight at 7:30 the holiday really begins. It is the first in 32 years where I do not have to travel, I am enjoying the relaxed energy and the time to do things like carrying on tradition.
