I started modern jive 3 months ago (dropping out of 2 years of salsa) and been reading posts here for a couple of months and plucked up courage to join and now ask a question. I went to a modern jive freestyle 3 wweks ago and am finding the majority of leaders were really rough pulling hard and squeezing my hand tight. Some had been dancing years and three of had been dancing 3 weeks and asked me to dance a lot. In a room with 30 men I might have danced with 15. most men didnt dance as taught in lessons, hand held at shoulder height, crushing grip and they stood on the spot !!!!!!! This is a high percent, how are they taught?
