I still have a few of these left :) $21 plus P&H Caffeina Talisman - A tribute and amulet to the Goddess of Coffee, Our Lady of the Latte. This listing is for one amulet/talisman dedicated to the Goddess Caffeina, a modern Goddess worshiped by many! A few friends and myself, (who had unknowingly been very dedicated to this particular Goddess for years), were discussing Dionysus and Bacchus, and wondering why we knew of a deity for wine, but not for our own elixir of choice - coffee. With very little research we found Her, and my relationship with Caffeina took on a new dimension. I think of her as another way to honour the natural, and to celebrate the abundance of good things that grow from the Earth. The daily ritual of good coffee even includes the elements: Earth where the red fruit grew, Air for the unmistakable aroma, Fire for the perfect roast, and Water to brew it to perfection. Arguably She is the most influential Goddess of the 21st century! Although she is sometimes portrayed as a Roman, I really think of Her as a much more modern face of the Goddess. I smile when I think of the Goddess in her guise as the Siren of Starbucks :) Some of the stories surrounding her include her as the patroness of coffee, tea, and other caffeinated drinks or foods, Caffeina is the Roman goddess of energy, stamina, and determination. Usually portrayed as a beautiful woman rising in the steam from a coffee cup, the goddess Caffeina gives clear thought, energy and creativity. I have made 7 tiny talismans - bottles of my own tincture of organic, single origin coffee, some spiced with fiery cinnamon and some straight up. Please note this is a tincture, not a brew, so while it can be used for anointing or as perfume, it MUST NOT be drunk! Each bottle contains crushed roasted coffee beans, and a tiny silver spoon to complete the feeling of a really good coffee.
