I stopped with my family to have lunch at McDonalds yesterday, and behind us in line was a super nice elderly man. I decided to step to the side and told the lady at the counter that I wanted to buy whatever he was ordering. It ended up being only an ice cream sundae, but the joy that I brought to him was priceless. I ended up going with him back to his table where he was sitting with a lovely lady. I assumed it was his wife, but come to mind out, his wife had died in February. We were in Branson, and he was there with his neighbor, whose husband had passed away some 15+ years ago. He didnt want to waste the show tickets that he and his wife had purchased before her death, so he was treating his friend/neighbor. Obviously, he was paying it forward, so I thought it was great that I had chose him to pay it forward to. I typically dont let the person that I am sparking know who I am, but this was a great example for me and my family how much fun it is to get to meet them afterwards.
