I strive to be transparent and fair in life and business. Sometimes I fail profoundly. A customer recently asked why a particular repair was so expensive, when other luthiers tend to charge about half as much. After doing my own research and calling colleagues, I found out he is right; I have been grossly overcharging for this service. I have been pricing my work from memory of another repair shops list, and up until now I assumed my memory was accurate, having never been challenged. Id like to publicly apologize for any disservice Ive done to my customers. I am sorry. I will be updating my complete price list, but not before doing some extensive research. If you feel you have been treated unfairly, please feel free to contact me. I will be happy to discuss any discrepancies, and refund money wherever applicable. Whether you are a proprietor or a patron, it never hurts to do your research.
