I struggle to share this as I try to keep our personal life very private and separate from our business, but we feel many of you have become very personal with us over the past few years and just wanted to give you an update of our week. What started out as a NORMAL Saturday last week, will end this Saturday with anything but normal for us this week! After we left you all on Saturday, our truck only made the 95 mile trip with half a motor (praying we made it home) then on to the diesel mechanic another 40 miles away all for them to still not know what is wrong. Then our walk-in freezer went out (to find out the motor is bad, irreplaceable and $3000 to repair)..Today the AC went out in our van, just to bless us a little further while we where picking up supplies. But nothing compares to our day Monday, when a very dear brother was unexpectedly taken home to heaven. A wonderful young man, who would of turned 35 today, we mourn for his family and grieve for his three little boys. This evening, we were told that his funeral services will be on Saturday at 1:30...his family has been part of our life since I was a very little girl and we grew up together through the good, the bad and the ugly. With all this being said, we are asking for all orders to be in by tomorrow, Thursday at 6pm...we are also asking that if you would all be so kind as to come support our family early this Saturday and have all orders picked up by 11:30 as the Overland Park Farmers Market has kindly granted us permission to leave at NOON...we are hoping to promptly leave at Noon so we can make the hours drive and attend something that is very important to us. As I have reflected on our week of troubles and sorrows, it has made me once again realize not to become so busy with making a living we forget to make a life, to make time for our family and great memories for our children. We appreciate all of you so much for supporting our family and being so loyal to our farm. Make the most of everyday, may we bless your home as much as you bless ours....Dianna & Jeff
