I stupidly changed into clean jeans to walk Toby, within three minutes of getting into the village lane he had dived into a drainage ditch, up to his chest in mud, tangled his lead around a tree, and snarled himself up in brambles and other plant life. I had to virtually climb into the ditch to get him out, him laughing all the way. Soaked and covered in mud, then he shook over me and claimed my top and cardigan for his own too! I have never known another dog that likes mud and dirt as much as mine. Hes a springer retriever cross, is this a springer thing?
