I support full marriage equality.. not because its Christian, but because its the most loving thing to do. - a legal position doesnt prevent Christians from encouraging people to be the best they can be (from a Christian worldview) and a damned person is no more damned (from a Christian worldview) nor unreachable by Gods love because they seek legal protection for the state they live in, and the people they love. This does not throw into question my entire theology, or belief structure. Most Christians I know believe something slightly different to another from fundamental stuff like exactly what you have to do to be saved and more minor stuff like should women wear head coverings when praying. But what we MUST do is ensure that we are loving towards those we are trying to reach. Yes, lets be clear about what Gods standard is, as best we understand it. But at the same time, lets be very clear that to love God, means to love our neighbour as ourselves. You cannot do that whilst you are condemning someones behaviour.
