I survived a 3 hour foot surgery and now have a metal plate, 2 screws, and 1 wire which will give me a "new foot." Unfortunately, it comes with a fiberglass cast extending from the tips of my toes to a couple inches short of my knee and an order of "NO weight bearing." So I will be crawling, hopping on 1 foot, or using a wheelchair to get around for 55 more days. THAT will be the hard part! I am hoping for fast healing so the 55 days can be decreased.
