I swear, there is never a dull moment around here... I just interrupted a prowler sneaking into my next door neighbors yard!! I had made a big tuna salad for Mikes lunch tomorrow, and I was taking the scraps of celery and cucumber out to the bunnies, when I saw someones head on the other side of the privacy fence between our houses. For a split second, you know how your mind tries to make weird stuff familiar, and I thought maybe it was Tom taking out the garbage, but at two in the morning??! I said, Hey! and the prowler ducked behind the fence and tried to hide. At that point, I called out for Mike, and asked him to bring the shotgun... Mr. ProwIer sneaked back out the neighbors gate before Mike got back, but we went next door to tell Rhonda what had happened, and to walk with her while she checked out the yard and vehicles to make sure nothing was missing. Rhonda told us that someone has been stealing gasoline, she has been hit and our neighbors across the street too. She said she and Tom had bought locking gas caps for their vehicles. I am guessing we did not get hit because our van has the kind of gas cap that can only be opened from inside the car. I swear, this stuff never used to happen here!
