I switched the radio on this afternoon and was confronted by bewildering stories about a breakout of mass hysteric dancing on Londons South Bank. I was astounded having avoided the news for days something is happening, actually happening... something extraordinary... the police were warning people to stay away... Politicians were arguing about causes, blaming, but something was building building within me, this is it! finally an event. For a full 10 minutes I listened, had even tapped in News.. Dancing... South Bank on my phone... was about to ring out, have you heard, have you heard..? Then, the narrator spoke. Like those in the 1950s listening to the War of the Worlds I had been caught up in a well crafted and acted radio play, I love that it was so good and I managed a smile but inside my oh... was heartfelt, I really thought something had happened... something new... bbc.co.uk/programmes/b015mzl8
