I tend to draw a lot of criticism when I encourage people to abstain from voting for politicians. So why do I do that? Why do I encourage a behaviour that results in me being criticized and condemned? Why do I suggest a course of action that people wait in queues to attack me for, usually accusing me of being naive or irresponsible? Well, part of it is the fact that the entire political process, globally, is inherently flawed. This results in ALL politicians being corrupt, NO politicians on Earth being even vaguely capable of fulfilling the job of politician, voters being able only to vote on politicians, NOT on the policies they enforce, relentless election fraud internationally, and the conning of voters using the left-right paradigm. But thats not even the important stuff. The really important point is that politicians use the health of the economy as a measure of their success. You see newscasters talking about it all the time - whether the stock market went up or down, whether new jobs were created, and how well the economy is doing. Theyll even campaign on it, and win or lose elections based upon it. The trouble is that the better the economy is, the worse life is for the majority of people. Gross domestic product (GDP), for example, is used as a significant economic indicator. but its really just a measure of how unequal a society has become. Thus, when the economy is doing well it means that inequality (such as 1% of the planet owning 40% of the wealth) is being maximized. This has serious repercussions for people. 2015 is coming and so are elections at local or national level in countries all over the world. So if your prospective candidate announces their intention to boost, restore, support, or prioritize the economy then you know for a fact that society itself is about to get significantly worse in that country or region.
