I thank God every day that I come from a generation of non-violence in high school. The worst thing that ever happened when I was a student was maybe a little scuffle to solve a minor dispute between two "estrogen overloaded" teenage boys!!! Maybe someone getting caught smoking a cigarette behind the football bleachers! But never was there ever a concern for lives and the safety of teachers and students.....way back then!!! Incidences like today at the Charter Academy in Dekalb County where a gunman was apprehended is just terrible. These kids behavior issues are just not being dealt with where it should be, and that is in the home. Kuddos to the teacher for doing what she did!!!
