I think I am in love with a close friend. We got closer through common interests and often worked out together. We also have many mutual friends which meant we met pretty often. And we stay relatively near each other too, so meeting up often to hang out became a common occurrence. I believe that I started falling for him when he opened up to me about his problems. I felt I needed to be there for him and respected his trust in me. Now I have come to a point where I can no longer spend one day without thinking about him. I miss him easily and I yearn to hear from him. I came out to him some months back to which he reacted in a supportive manner. I am grateful for this, but I am unable to stop there and expect no more from our current relationship with each other. I really dont know if he is gay or straight too because we rarely talk about relationships or girls (even before I came out to him). Perhaps, he is just a shy guy when it comes to girls. Should I take the risk and confess to him or stick to being the good friends we have been?
