I think Im the smartest person Ive ever met. Saying this makes me a bad person. It makes me an egotistical narcissist. Im sorry. Ive been trying to convince myself its not true, but I just dont see the evidence. Im constantly getting to know new people, and as lovely and interesting as they are, theyre nearly always fundamentally stupid in ways that makes it impossible for me to stand being around them. Even the people who genuinely surprise and elate me generally do so only because they manage to clear an extremely low bar. I want to make a genuine connection with another person, but Ive never met anyone on my level. The worst part is I know that makes me awful, but I cant help but think it, Because its true. (To be clear, Im extremely polite and nice, I help people with school work for free all the time, I volunteer, I work nearly full time, I have plenty of time to meet and interact with people and a good personality. (Hence the fact that I would never say this to anyone aloud. I just have problems with being close to people.)
