I think Mark Twain was speaking about Religions, not true Spirituality. He was speaking too at a time when Science had no Quantum Physics then. Quantum physics led to a convergence of Science and Spirituality. So many physicists now believe in GOD. All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force. We must assume behind this force is the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind.
