I think a lot about those Americans that we call The Greatest Generation. How selflessly they sacrificed everything to fight for freedom for people in countries that without war they would have never known. I try to visualize what it looked like to those fine young men as they prepared to land on the beaches of Normandy! The fear they felt had to be so overwhelming but I can only believe that they were driven by their passion for freedom and more importantly their desire to make their family and their country proud! They knew not their fate and cared not for they knew that their cause was greater than themselves. They were the greatest not only because of what they did but more importantly why they did it! They sacrificed for others. Family at home, their gratitude to God for being given the gift of living in the greatest country in the history of the world, their desire to be living or dying examples for the rest of the world! I ask all Americans now who wants to be the next greatest generation? Who wants to prove that the greatest generation fought and died for a greater America and their sacrifice was worth their all?! Hard working Americans have to come together! All of us who go to work each day who dont care about the color or gender of our coworkers. All of us who work to feed and care for our families who do it because its the right thing to do! Middle class Americans are under attack and politicians dont care who their casualties are! We can be the next greatest generation if only we choose to be. Our greatest generation deserves the honor to have died for the America that they believed in! Its our job to make sure that we dont fail them! God bless them and the memory of their sacrifice! God bless America and all who believe in Him!
