I think a lot of sounds come out of my office when Im writing--laughing, cursing. I read aloud a lot. This is my technique for authentic dialogue. It really jumps out if its off. And just now, I heard myself say Holy s***. It must sound like a street person lives here when the windows are open. My dogs always lift their heads inquisitively, and I realize Im talking. This is what I do instead of therapy. Its working out.
