I think after this post I am done with face book. I spent the morning explaining to my daughter why a man who was President for such a short period of time left such a lasting impression? The reasons had little to do with looks or the wealth it had much more to do with a extremely even temperament that allowed one man to walk a tight rope for thirteen days during the Cuban Missle Crisisis. We now know that Cuba already had a Nuclear suite case in place which Castro was prepared to use on his own soil had Kennedy waffled under the pressure of his military and been pushed into a land invasion. Ultimately as we all now know Kennedy gave Kruschev a gracefull exit out of a very dangerous situation. It was always Kennedys philosophy that you gave a opponent a way out no need to humiliate, this is a lesson that politicians today would be better served to follow.
