I think as more time passes I come to realize the true merit of my degree. It is not to discuss heady matters of history and theology in a coherent manner. That is simply a side effect. The true skill learned while attaining it was in how to find obscure information others are too confused or lazy to seek. Sure I can look up early Christian formative Councils that predate and established what we call orthodoxy, but Id much rather use my powers to look up popular Hotel pop bands from in and around Nairobi during the 80s and 90s. #withgreatpowercomesobscureknowledge
