I think half the reason people sit alone in public staring down at their smart phones is because it makes them feel like A. something is happening ... B. that they have friends who care about them ... C. that they are not alone and that they do not to appear to others to be alone... D. Because they have forgotten how it feels to just sit with themselves and watch the world go by. Im so happy to have a dumb phone with a crappy camera and an inability to hold more than a hundred text messages. It allows me to sit in public looking lonely and awkward and I quite like that. :)
