I think most people in the group will probably remember this as Barclays Bank. Back in the early 1900s it was the home of our Great Grandad Thomas Girdlestone. The sign on the wall says Thomas Girdlestone Painters and Decorators The shop was later removed and added to the new house built further down the road! Outside the shop are rolls of lead pipe. Adelaide is in the doorway with Helen Girdlestone ( who i was named after) Edwin & Ernie Girdlestone are the two boys in front of the shop. Thomas Girdlestone is the gentleman in the hat with his wife Mary. Then Robert Flatt and Mr Mansfield. Have you seen this before, Granville ?
