I think that Taskstream, the site WGU uses for assignment grading, - TopicsExpress

I think that Taskstream, the site WGU uses for assignment grading, goes out of its way to hire dullards. I normally try to keep more of a cap on it, but I think Im about to lose it on somebody. I just had a whole essay concerning the implications of neuroscience on criminality sent back because, and I quote, An issue must be identified that is both global and societal and then related to science. Well Im sorry that I so misunderstood the assignment. Apparently dealing with people who grievously break the rules is not a social issue. Nor is trying to understand the workings of the brain and behavior to better judge the situation related to science. This coming on the heels of another grader who asked how my lesson on Mendelian genetics was aligned with state standards of teaching that DNA is passed from parents to offspring. Thats like asking how addition and subtraction align with teaching children arithmetic. Im trying to put a humorous spin on it, but truthfully its starting to get soul-crushing. I am being coached, graded, and now forced to perform at a level inferior to my capacity. It makes me wonder what part of the teacher shortage is actually a result of how poorly designed our educator education system is. Its like they set out to prove to people that teaching is a real profession that not anybody can do without training and a degree...only to forget about providing actual content and just having us keep some spinning plates balanced on sticks for a few years before deeming us qualified. If you have any degree of intelligence then it will be insulted by how banal these classes have been. Anyway, everybodys entitled to one Facebook rant in their life and theres mine.
