I think that after we mature enough to discern a persons intentions toward us, his cutting remarks mean much less than when we viewed him as an unbiased observer. When we think in words, our entire communication with others is functioning so far beneath its potential we are like cave-men attempting to express the ideas of Abert Einstein.
