I think that it is absolutely disgraceful that in a country with so many problems, people still have to suffer injustice when government has promised to come to their aid. Seeing victims of the Nyanya blast on channels tv last night just made my heart bleed at the level of insensitivity from government in this country. What about victims and family members from the NIS tragedy? Have they been compensated? My mother always said a promise is a debt. If you cant do, then dont say it. Sadly enough many people promise and fail in Nigeria....it is a culture...na awa way. It would be slightly less painful if government actually could not afford to help, but by doing something as simple as giving them a grant to help them get on their feet, they would minimize their pain and suffering. Is it that government officials have memory loss or they want to see how far they can push the citizens before they get to the tipping point? They should live up to their promises. No excuses. An aside: Please if anyone knows Udom Emmanuel, I am looking for him. While he was SSG in Akwa Ibom a lady sent a letter requesting help for surgery for her teenage son.....I need to find him before he is governor....cos that time we no go see am again. #OSFA #GetInvolved #TakeBackNigeria
