I think this should be a Tea Party Post and not an AFL-CIO post. Doesnt being a fiscal conservative mean spending money wisely? Doesnt it make more sense to feed hungry kids instead of making fat companies fatter? Corporate welfare is completely inconsistent with the ideals of small government espoused by fiscal conservatives! If the conservative message was consistent, America would get behind it. Assuming the government is big enough, which is a pretty good assumption, there is still money enough to fill every freezer in the country with food. We have the current resources to educate every child in classrooms that are small enough to manage. We have the current resources to keep every city safe with well trained police officers. We have the current resources to provide every American with affordable preventative health care and acute care as needed, right now! We have the current resources to provide a living pension to every working American, Right Now! Our politicians are handcuffed by a system that makes them completely beholding to special interest groups. If they dont play, they dont stay. Until the Tea Party and the Occupy Movement realize they are pissed at the same people nothing is going the change. Common folk, who are as concerned about their neighbor as they are of themselves has always been Americas hope. It always will be! Lets channel our anger in the right direction! Not at brilliant entrepreneurs who create new jobs everyday, but to corporate frauds who legally manipulate the accounts of our nation for their personal gain!
