I think when I was young, I never noticed the weather. In school, we had no air. I remember at Hesse and Jenkins we would donate for fans for the classroom...but it just seemed a part of life! I do not know how hot it is in Savannah, but it is 99 today in Baton Rouge and it seems the older I get, the more I notice it. Ah for the days of summer in Savannah when we would run for hours and bike all over and never really notice the heat for the fun. The days we would walk out into the marsh at low tide with the smell of the mud!! Nothing phased us!! We cooled off in the sprinkler and then we were off again! Ah for those days of youth:o)
