I travel a lot these days and see the average TSA employee and their smug sense of authority because even they know theyre not actually doing much to keep us safe. Like the article says, they see their jobs as an abuse of public money and trust. Its palpable. I cant help but laugh every time they wipe my hands with those tiny moist pads on those tiny batons to check for chemical residue. I also cant help roll my eyes because Im always patted down after my scan because the scan shows something in my right back pocket and my left knee. Every time. It doesnt show the 9 titanium screws in my arm, but it definitely shows me having more of an ass than I actually do... and, for that alone, I appreciate their work... and twerk all the way to the gate.
