I truly feel and understand his mother and her pain. That being - TopicsExpress

I truly feel and understand his mother and her pain. That being said, I feel worse for the families of my brothers in arms that had to endure the pain of never seeing their sons and daughters again. They have their lives attempting to rescue a deserter! The Soldiers actions displayed an unquestionable lack of courage and will to fight. However, the real travesty is our present leadership. The presidents actions, will have serious repercussions for our nations military in the future. Mark my words. There is a reason we dont negotiate with terrorists. It sets an irreversible precedence. Furthermore, the fact that he survived 5 years speaks volumes. I fought the Taliban on multiple deployments and they are merciless. Quite often they would fill childrens body cavities with explosives and behead my brethren. Thus, having been shown mercy means he was assisting in the destruction of my fellow warriors. I would rather take one to the face than help kill a brother. But hey, thats just me. I believe in God and sacrifice for the greater good. God Bless you and keep fighting the good fight. We need to re-educate our nations youths as they are the reason he became president in the first place. Obama played to the overwhelming ignorance of our youths. He understood that many dont read or seek knowledge. They rather study pop culture. Which is exactly what Obama embraced to achieve the win. Without re-education, I am sorry to say; our nation will be destined to repeat its mistake. V/r, Carlos M. Llanes Jr. U.S. Army Retired Disabled Veteran
