I truly miss my pastor, the late Reverend Dr. Leon H. Sullivan, - TopicsExpress

I truly miss my pastor, the late Reverend Dr. Leon H. Sullivan, The Lion of Zion. I had the blessings of being baptised by him in 1973. He broke racial barriers in Philadelphia and started Opportunity Industrial Centers (OIC) throughout the U.S.. He became the first African America board member of Ford Motor company in the 60s who was sent to South Africa to observe the Ford Co there during apartied. As a result, he wrote, The Sullivan Principals, laying out fair labor laws for the many disenfranchised and racially discriminated Africans. He threatened P.W. Botha to dismantle apartied and free Mandela or he would partition to boycott and pull out the Ford Co., Coca Cola, McDonalds and every American company from South Africa. The rest is history. Thank you Rev Sullivan for opening doors, building the bridges to close the gap and for being my life long inspiration. Were building bridges, he would roar. He would set Zion Baptist Church pulpit on fire with his thundering voice. #leonsullivan
