I understand that I have been nominated for Religious Advocate Of The Year as part of The British Muslim Awards organised by an entity known as Oceanic Consulting. I had never heard of these people before, and not nominated myself or had anything to do with them, before they contacted my representatives on the 17th of January as I have just had confirmed. I then looked into their organisation properly and I see that they actually allowed the Quilliam Foundation to be nominated for a Spirit Of Britain award as well. They have now rescinded that after realising just how stupid that sounded. How on Gods Earth any Muslim could ever consider such an idea is beyond me, and completely unacceptable. It suggests like most of these bakwas Awards, that its just cheap PR for their organisers, and perhaps worse, PR for something which doesnt come across as very Muslim either. Allahu alam. Thus, I dont wish to have anything to do with this event, the organisers, the award process, nothing. Those who purchased tickets should get a refund and spend their evening doing something beneficial instead. At this juncture, I would also like you to note that unless I confirm something myself on *this* page, or you see it from me elsewhere on video, then any support or backed by or recommended by or endorsed by statements and claims, should all be taken with not a pinch, but a fistful of salt, regardless of how close the people claim to be to me. Thanks.
