I used to argue against those who opposed the excessive prescribing of medication in America. Now I question the mentality I once held. Do not get me wrong. Medicine helped me. It took me from saying nothing and holding a hankerchief up to my face to being able to conversate with other human beings, even if in an abnormal way. It just erks me how I suddenly am finding that I seem to function better with reduced quantities of these very same meds. Like . . . WTF?
