I used to say: remember the gist, the lesson, and forget the emotions, you can even forget everything about it, and jz remember the principle. Its the most efficient way to achieve, because it makes you start to remedy or excel anything else you can in the very next second and not linger on your emotions, be it happiness and excitement or sadness and despair. It always work for me, but not always for ors. recently I have a 2nd thought: maybe some decisions require not only the acknowledgement of emotions existence, but also require adding value to such emotions...feeling it personally to fully understand why ppl reacted as such....then..you may start solving their problems. and so, I came to the conclusion that even the strictest law drafted for the most altruistic notion of justice, requires the law to learn the value of tears.
