I used to think we are alone in the universe. But given the sheer size of the universe, there has to be life somewhere else besides this one single planet. Though I highly doubt life elsewhere is intelligent life like humans. Im thinking more bacterial life or maybe even something creature-like. I mean just look at our own history. If it wasnt for that asteroid hitting the Earth millions of years ago, changing and cooling the climate, and killing off the dinosaurs, Im not sure humans would have ever evolved in the first place. So if we with our intelligence are here because of a random asteroid hitting Earth millions of years ago, whats the odds of evolved intelligence elsewhere in the universe? I say the odds are very slim. I still look at life as a code like with a safe. The numbers and sequences have to come together precisely in order to get that safe open. Same thing with life on a planet. Circumstances, chemicals, and random events all have to precisely line up together in order for that spark of life to appear and then evolve.
